“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Trinity’s New Tomorrow (TNT) has been built on the idea that love is the greatest thing we offer our children. Our programs are created with the love of our Savior and our kids first and foremost in our hearts and minds. Whether the kids come to Sunday School, Children’s Worship, or Parents’ Night Out, the goal is to help the kids build a personal relationship with Jesus.
Sundays:
9:45 AM – 10:45 AM Sunday School (Regular Sunday School will resume on August 15th with our Sunday School kick-off)
During the school year, children are placed in classes based on age/grade level. Our classes are currently divided as follows: 2 and 3 year olds; Pre-K and Kindergarten; 1st and 2nd graders; 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. While in class, the kids play games, read Scriptures, and do crafts. In amongst the fun is a whole lot of learning!
Summer Sunday School (June 13th – August 15th)
During the summer, we have a mixed-age Sunday School. This is a great time for the kids to get to know ALL the kids at Trinity, while still learning about God. Each week a different volunteer group teaches the lesson.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM Ignite (formerly known as JAM)
Ignite is a mixed-age group that meets every Sunday for a devotion-style lesson. We discuss real-life events and how to walk with Christ in all situations, not just at church. After the devotion time is over, The Explosion joins those who are attending Children’s Worship for our kid-style worship time.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM The Explosion (aka Children’s Worship)
After the children’s moment at the 11:00 am service, the children go to Lowrie Hall for a worship service of their own. We preserve the elements of adult worship, but present them on a kid-friendly level. This time is designed to give the children an opportunity to worship and praise their God, as well as teach them the rituals of the worship service. The children serve as acolytes, liturgists, ushers, and song leaders of their own service. One of the important goals of this time is to give Trinity kids a place where they feel like they belong.
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM The Implosions (aka Preteens)
The dictionary says that to implode is to “burst inward”. Pre-teens are bursting in a lot of different directions, but at The Implosions we focus on the ones happening inside. This is the time when kids start finding their own personal faith and during The Implosion, we are on that journey together. If you are in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, then The Implosions are for you! The Implosions meet on Sundays at 3:00 for food, fun, fellowship, and learning. Each child receives a memory journal in which to put important verses that are discussed in class. This is a time for preteens to be who they are and look at the world and their faith in their own way.
